INVESTMENT PACKAGE FOR ADAPTIVE RE-USE

- Client: Turquoise Mountain Foundation
- Project: Advising on investor mix, packages and pitching documentation for repurposing of former Ministry of Tourism Building in the centre of Yangon into multi-purpose art, craft and creative industries centre. Building is currently under renovation, est. completion 2019

- Client: Cities Development Initiative for Asia / Asian Development Bank
- Partners: Yangon City Development Committee / Yangon Heritage Trust
- Project: Heritage economics expert leading case study research of 12 renovated properties in historic core of Yangon. Research included analysis of the physical interventions, heritage value and financial model. Findings were used as input for adaptive re-use design & feasibility studies in the same project

- Client: Cities Development Initiative for Asia / Asian Development Bank
- Partners: Yangon City Development Committee / Yangon Heritage Trust
- Project: Design and conduct feasibility studies for repurposing of 12 heritage buildings and upgrading of public space in three streets in Yangon’s historic core
- Result: US$50 million investment by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) in upgrading of buildings and public space in the study area

- Partner: Soegijapranata Catholic University (Unika)
- Project: Assist local government in design and feasibility studies for adaptive re-use of three historical sites to generate investment in redevelopment of Kota Lama (old town) of Semarang. One of the buildings has since bene revamped into the Spiegel Café

FEASIBILITY OF HERITAGE REVITALIZATION
Medan, Sumatra, Indonesia, 2006
- Client: Royal Netherlands Embassy Jakarta
- Partner: Badan Warisan Sumatra (BWS)
- Project: Worked with local NGO to conduct a design and feasibility study for Tax Inspectorat Building, a former tax office in the city of Medan that was under threat of demolition
- Result: Owner took on board NGOs recommendations and integrated a heritage structure in new development as a clubhouse
